REFLECTIONS ON LEADERSHIP, CULTURE AND FAITH - WITH HINTS OF IRREVERENCE

Simon Pastorello

In 2009 I moved to Blackburn (Northern England) to serve an Elim Network Church now known as The Beacon, which I have had the honour of leading since 2015. In the meantime (2017) I co-founded RISE, a Unity Movement that promotes Christian unity and mission among local Churches across the borough's denominational spectrum. In 2017, I also became a lecturer at the IBTI (International Bible Training College, West Sussex), first teaching Youth Ministry and then Christian Apologetics. As of June 2023 I also became a member of its board of directors.

After passing the baton to my former assistant in November 2023, I moved to Twickenham (London) to lead Twickenham Green Baptist Church (September 2024)

I have a diploma in Applied Theology with the IBTI, a BTh in Theology with Mattersey Hall, and a PGDip in Leadership with Alphacrucis.
All of these boring and useless details aside, I am ultimately a follower of Jesus, husband, father, servant and leader. Oh, I'm Italian too!

Why this blog?

This blog is an ongoing collection of personal reflections on leadership and faith - peppered with a little irreverence! I hope you won't read my thoughts to find definitive answers. Believe me, the more I know, the more I realise how much I don't! You may find them useful or not - that's really not the point. I just hope they make us think a bit harder and deeper...
